The menu items on the left represent what are hopefully decent categorizations of the different components available for website development. Most of them should be able to be used on new websites with little or no modification. In fact, when developing new sites, the instance of the components here should be used, rather than creating new components with similar functionality. Please contact UDit if you need a functionality not provided herein.
This entire site was generated from components in this singular repository.
In terms of using this site, the categories will provide links to the actual components. The nomenclature is admittedly rough, but will hopefully make sense as one uses the components. Most of the components can be easily viewed by clicking the corresponding links. However, some of them (such as javascripts) won't display nicely. The idea behind this site is that it can provide examples on how each component will look and function on a live site. Elements such as javascripts don't display well by themselves on a page. It should also be noted that the pages demonstrating different components are fairly stripped down intentionally. The idea is to again, display the component in isolation of everything else.
On the detail pages that can render something meaningful, the top section is the display of the component and the bottom provides useful information regarding the component. It may be useful to view the source code of the detail page - the actual component code should be offset from the page rendering code by comments.
This demo site does not provide any sort of stylistic guidelines. Please refer to the style guide for those decisions. This is strictly a functionality display.
Welcome
This repository is designed to give developers an insight into how the infoglue component system works at the University of Dayton.
